.Landscapes and Habitats of the Alps

National Research Programme NRP 48

In spring 2002 a new National Research Prgramme (NRP 48) by the Swiss National Foundation on Habitats and Landscapes of the Alps has started. 35 research projects are currently under way in the context of this NRP; further projects will be added at a later stage. Also from the University of Basel some projects are running wihthin the NRP 48. The MCO management & coordination office helps when coordinational effort among the projects is needed and helps organising workshops which are demanded by the Swiss National Foundation.
